[09:36:59] <idealseal> bschnei
[10:59:16] <Solskogen> what kind of device you've got idealseal ?
[11:04:19] <idealseal> Raspi 4 and 5
[11:26:00] -!- marmis has quit [Quit: Bye!]
[11:32:05] <Solskogen> As of now, Pi4 is a bit out of the question. But the Pi5 works.

[13:16:18] <gromit> felixonmars|M: Is there a known issue with the rsync service for the riscv port? We're getting issues syncing it: https://gist.github.com
[13:16:19] <phrik> Title: syncriscv_service.log · GitHub (at gist.github.com)
[13:17:52] <jelle> gromit: is it trying to sync via rsyncs?
[13:18:04] <jelle> (tls)
[13:18:25] <gromit> jelle, felixonmars|M: source url is 'rsync://archriscv.felixc.at/archriscv'
[13:19:23] <jelle> https://gitlab.archlinux.org
[13:19:24] <phrik> Title: Use and offer rsync mirroring over TLS (!1022) · Merge requests · Arch Linux / infrastructure · GitLab (at gitlab.archlinux.org)
[13:20:10] <jelle> prolly doesnt support rsync/tls
[13:22:14] <gromit> jelle: ah we're using rsync-ssl, so the issue is on our side
[13:41:19] <gromit> jelle, felixonmars|M: Disabled it for the risvc sync
[14:16:20] <jelle> \o/

[16:56:39] <phrik> Title: Packages fail to build without LSE support (#6) · Issues · Arch Linux / Ports / AArch64 / project-management · GitLab (at gitlab.archlinux.org)
[17:06:25] <bschnei> idealseal: we are working on images/tarballs built with packages we have built. If you are looking to move faster, you can either use ALARM or tpowa's Archboot ISOs to get going and then pacstrap a system using our repos.
[17:08:40] <bschnei> idealseal: be aware, you will probably need to use the kernel packaged by ALARM for your device for now. We do package linux but the configuration is very limited in terms of supported devices.
[17:09:47] <bschnei> idealseal: most of the work we do takes place on cloud hosts which we do support (Hetnzer and AWS).
[17:10:28] <jelle> rpi5 mainline should work just no ethernet
[17:10:35] <jelle> rpi4 mainline has everything afaik?
[17:12:23] <bschnei> I should probably just buy them. I've been trying to get Solskogen's ODROID-M2 working but its slow going
[17:14:04] <Solskogen> we "ship" the pi5 kernel
[17:14:31] <jelle> hmm how fast is that odroid :p
[17:15:21] <Solskogen> It's yet another device that's great on paper, but the support from the vendor is below par
[17:15:41] <jelle> that is standard in arm
[17:16:01] <bschnei> gromit: do you have a preferred place we could keep track of what consumer devices "work"?
[19:04:28] <DrZee> nl6270: I put a comment on one of you merge requests for archiso ... have a look.

[23:25:47] <DrZee> why when I run pacstrap in a container everything works (pulls all packages from repo and installs them) but it does not write a pacman.conf in etc/ ?????
[23:27:41] <DrZee> if I run pacstrap with the explicit -P option it pulls pacman.conf in from the "host" as expected.... but without even though it installs the pacman PKG there is no pacman.conf ...
